The most tragic news is that Patton died in a Western Road accident.
Patton represented New England in the Super Bowl from 2001 to 2004, winning three Super Bowls, winning 44 of the 54 regular season games and Caught 165 catches in 2,513 yards and 16 touchdowns.
Patton was a neutral man from the University of Western Carolina who represented New England in the NFL for 12 years, most notably with the New England Patriots. I won three great Super Bowls. He also played with the Cleveland Browns, the Washington Redskins, the Newlens Saints and the New York Giants.
It was the first of 21 Super Bowl TD passes for Brady, and Patton’s six points gave the Patriots a 20-17 victory in the Super Bowl and a 13-3 lead for the start of the family.
SC Highway Patrol reported that the Patton accident happened just after 9:30 p.m. Thursday on Clemson Road in Richland County and just off Old Clemson Road. Patton said Patton was riding his motorcycle west of Clemson Road and into the opposite lane. According to patrolling police, he hit a sedan, which then overturned a van.
Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford confirmed that Patton died in the wreckage. A coroner’s officer and highway patrol are investigating the death and the collision.
